What is Ride a Dino?
Ride a Dino is a Roblox collection game built around a single idea: your dinosaur’s speed decides how far you can go. Every egg is hidden somewhere in the world, and the quickest dinos are the ones that can actually reach the eggs tucked into the hardest-to-reach corners.
Hidden Dino Eggs
Eggs are discovered by exploring the map rather than pulled from a shop, so moving around the world is itself the way you earn new dinosaurs.
Speed Is Everything
Your mount’s speed decides which eggs you can physically reach. Faster dinos are not a flex — they open up harder-to-find eggs.
Mutations Boost Speed
The confirmed mutation mechanic stacks extra speed on top of a dinosaur’s base value, so it is the main lever once you have a good hatch.
Explore And Collect
Rare dinosaurs are the trophy side of the game: building out your collection is an official goal alongside chasing pure speed.
The loop is eggs, hatching, riding and mutation. You explore for hidden dino eggs, crack them open for dinosaurs that come out faster and rarer than your last, ride the fast ones to dig deeper into the map, then mutate them to push their speed up again. Rarer hatches make a collection worth showing off, and it all runs in small six-player servers across PC, console, mobile and tablet.

Where Ride a Dino Speed Comes From
Speed is the one stat the game itself names as the key to reaching harder-to-find eggs. These are the confirmed levers that push it up, ranked by how directly the game confirms them.
How Egg Hunting Actually Works
There is no published egg map, so these are the method-level signals that decide whether a hunt is productive. Each one is something you apply in your own session.
Keep, Mutate Or Replace
There is no official dino ranking, so this is the decision framework instead: when to keep a hatch, when to spend a mutation on it and when to simply ride on.
Your Progression Phases
The loop runs in four broad phases. Knowing which one you are in tells you whether your next move is more eggs, more speed or more collecting.
Frequently Asked Questions
How do I find dino eggs in Ride a Dino?+
Eggs are hidden in the world rather than handed to you in a menu, so finding them is a matter of exploring. The practical method is to cover ground systematically, note where you have already looked and let your dinosaur’s speed open up parts of the map that were previously out of reach. The game does not publish an egg map, so treat any list of exact egg spots you find elsewhere with caution.
Why does speed matter so much?+
Speed is the one stat the game’s own description singles out, because it decides how far you can travel and therefore which eggs you can reach. Riding a faster dinosaur is effectively an exploration upgrade: the harder-to-find eggs are the ones that reward a quicker mount. Mutations stack further speed on top of a dinosaur’s base value.
What do mutations actually do?+
The official description confirms mutations exist and that they boost a dinosaur’s speed even further. That is the whole confirmed effect: a mutation is an extra speed layer on top of whatever the dinosaur already had. Specific mutation names, chances and multipliers are not published by the game, so any list of exact mutation types is unverified.
How do I know if a dinosaur is good?+
The game tells you hatches come out with better speed and rarity, so those are the two signals to read on a fresh hatch. In practice you compare it against what you are currently riding: if it is quicker, it is an upgrade for reaching eggs. Rarity is more of a collection signal, so a rarer dinosaur is worth keeping even when a faster one is carrying your progress.
Is collecting rare dinos worth it?+
Collecting rare dinosaurs is an official goal, not a side effect, so it is worth doing on its own terms. The trick is to separate the dinosaur you ride for speed from the ones you keep for rarity, because the fastest hatch and the rarest hatch are not always the same one. Keep a simple personal log, since the game does not ship a published index to fill in.
Should I buy the Infinite Radar game pass?+
Infinite Radar is described as a permanent radar that always finds the nearest egg, so it removes the searching part of the loop rather than raising your speed. It is most useful once you are actively farming eggs and already know the map; a brand-new player still learning the basics gets less out of it. The pass price is not listed publicly, so check the game page before deciding.
Can I play with friends?+
Yes, but note the server size: Ride a Dino caps at six players per server, so it is a small-group experience rather than a big lobby. It runs on desktop, console, mobile and tablet, and everything you do with speed, eggs and mutations works the same whether you are solo or in a small group.
